HarbourCats release details on Christmas Open house – Tim Hortons ‘mobile outlet’ to open event

From a HarbourCats press release:

Fans have been asking – are the Victoria HarbourCats doing their Open House again this year?

The answer is YES! Thursday, November 30 – from 8am to 8pm, the HarbourCats will have special Christmas deals on merchandise, tickets, novelties and other offerings. A silent auction of some interesting memorabilia will also be going on, and staff will be on hand to answer any questions about ticketing, fund-raising opportunities, partnership options and other organization offerings.

And, yes, Santa will be around during the day, to get everyone into an early holiday spirit.

The whole thing will start with a visit from the mobile Tim Hortons outlet, parked by the office for the morning (9am-11am). The address is 101-1814 Vancouver Street.

“This has become an event our fans look forward to – our summer family stopping in to say hello,” said Brad Norris-Jones, GM of the HarbourCats. “It’s been a few months since our last game, and people have been involved with fall activities. It’s nice to know people are excited for our sixth season of HarbourCats baseball in Victoria, and this is a great way to meet up again. Many of our fans like to give merchandise or tickets as Christmas gifts.”

New merchandise has been coming in, stocking up for this event – t-shirts, hats, baseball bat mugs, coffee mugs, seat cushions and even HarbourCats tree ornaments.

The announcement of the team’s schedule for 2018 also will allow for single-game tickets, and 10-packs, to go on sale, including the June 1 Opening Night, Father’s Day, Canada Day, and the popular final series. Fireworks dates have already been set:

*-Saturday, June 2

*-Saturday, June 30 (Pre-Canada Day)

*-Friday, July 20

*-Monday, August 6 (B.C. Day long weekend)

Season tickets continue to be sold as well. The team’s pocket schedule will be out shortly, and major promotional dates and activities will be announced in the new year.

The schedule appears at http://harbourcats.com/calendar/, with an I-Calendar option to add it to your smart phone or tablet.
